She is of French German Irish and Scottish roots. Jacobs' family was the owner of Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery, founded by the family in Erie Pennsylvania 1847. John Martin Magenau Jr. served as the position of CEO and President since 1978, until the brewery's closure. Jacobs started acting classes at the age of 8 and continued attending Saturday classes at Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs went to Lebanon High school from 2000 until the year 2004. She earned her bachelor's degree at the end of 2004.
