Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music from the US. The group she formed with Ashley Monroe named Pistol Annies, with Angaleena presley and Miranda Lambert in 2007, before releasing her second album, titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager of the Village of Riverside Illinois and has over 15 years of experience working in public service, including nearly five years as the Deputy City Manager for Iowa City. The current Assistant Village Manager's tasks include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department as well as coordinating grant applications and the completion of special projects. Ashley's job at Riverside is to assist in the daily operations of village services and implement the strategy laid out by the elected officials. Prior roles include city planning and government communications budgeting staff management, collective bargaining, with a focus on climate-related initiatives. Due to her engagement in local and national organisations as well as her work with communities that have populations of varying sizes, Ashley has gained insight on the complexity of differences and similarities in how public organizations operate.
